William V.
Tamborlane, an American pediatrician and academic, died on May 12, 2026, at the age of 79. William Valentine Tamborlane Jr.
was born in The Bronx, New York City, on August 25, 1946, and grew up in Haworth, New Jersey. From 1986, he served as Professor and Chief of Pediatric Endocrinology at Yale School of Medicine. He and his wife raised their three children in Madison, Connecticut.
