Patrick Arnold, an American organic chemist known as the “Father of Prohormones,” died on May 12, 2026, at age 59.
Born in 1966 in Guilford, Connecticut, he was identified in available reports as the chemist who introduced androstenedione, 1-androstenediol and methylhexanamine into the dietary supplement market. He also created the designer steroid tetrahydrogestrinone, or THG, known as “the clear,” and reintroduced methylhexanamine under the mark Geranamine.
