Tina Dalton, the Australian filmmaker and television presenter who helped launch the Nine Network travel program Getaway in 1992, died on August 24, 2026.
Known professionally as Bettina “Tina” Dalton, she built a career in wildlife and nature documentaries as a producer and director. After graduating from the University of Queensland in 1981 with an associate diploma in wilderness reserves and wildlife, she joined the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service as a ranger in 1982 and founded the service’s media unit the following year.
