Born Ronald Stacey King in Lawton, Oklahoma, on January 29, 1967, he starred at the University of Oklahoma before the Bulls selected him sixth overall in the 1989 NBA draft. King played in the NBA from 1989 to 1999 and helped Chicago win three consecutive championships from 1991 through 1993.
After his playing career ended, he joined Bulls broadcasts as a color commentator and remained in that role from the 2006-07 season through the 2025-26 season.
