Born in Viareggio on April 23, 1963, she studied visual arts, theater and ballet before graduating from the University of Florence. Since 1990, she worked in Italy and abroad, building a career in theatre as a playwright, stage actress and director.
Her plays were shown at festivals and theatres and translated into several languages, including German and English. She also translated a number of dramatists into Italian, among them Arthur Schnitzler, Frank Wedekind, Ödön von Horváth, Thornton Wilder, Rona Munro and Dea Loher. In 2007, her Italian version of Werner Schwab’s Volksvernichtung was awarded in Milan.
