Servet Pëllumbi, Albanian politician and speaker of parliament, died on May 5, 2026, following a brief illness.
He was 89. Born in Korçë on December 12, 1936, he served as Chairman of the Assembly of the Republic of Albania from April 30, 2002, until September 3, 2005.
Pëllumbi was also a lecturer in the Political Academy of the Socialist Party of Albania.
