Robyn Thorn, an Australian swimmer and Olympic silver medalist, died on January 24, 2026, aged 80.

Also known by her married name Robyn Nock, she won silver in the 4×100-metre freestyle relay at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Born in Queensland in 1945, Thorn came from Kingaroy and made her Olympic debut after competing at the 1962 Commonwealth Games in Perth, where she was part of Australia’s winning 4×110-yard freestyle relay team and took silver in the individual freestyle event.

Robyn Jean Thorn (26 November 1945 – 24 January 2026), also known by her married name Robyn Nock, was an Australian freestyle swimmer who won the silver medal in the 4×100-metre freestyle relay at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
