Bob Jones, a Canadian ice hockey player who appeared in the National Hockey League with the New York Rangers, died on January 24, 2026, at age 80.

Robert Charles Jones was born in Espanola, Ontario, on November 27, 1945, and played two NHL games and 161 games in the World Hockey Association between 1969 and 1976. In the WHA, he skated for the Los Angeles Sharks, New York Raiders, New York Golden Blades/Jersey Knights, Michigan Stags/Baltimore Blades and Indianapolis Racers.

His younger brother, Jim Jones, also played in the NHL.

He played two games in the National Hockey League (NHL) and 161 games in the World Hockey Association (WHA) between 1969 and 1976.
