
Podyjí National Park, a Czech ecologist and national park in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic, died on February 3, 2026.
Adjacent to Austria’s Thayatal National Park on the border, it is part of the Inter-National park and one of the Czech Republic’s four national parks. The park protects near-natural forests along the deep Dyje River valley, and its well-preserved biome is considered unique in Central Europe.
It was formally declared a national park on July 1, 1991.
