Born in Liège on September 13, 1945, he also worked as a film director and actor and was sometimes known as Georges Le Gloupier. Godin drew international attention in 1998 when his group ambushed Microsoft chief executive Bill Gates in Brussels and hit him with pies, an episode that cemented his reputation as one of the French-speaking world’s best-known pranksters.
