Born Mykola Andronovych Karpyuk on May 21, 1964, in Velykyi Zhytyn, he later became a member of the central council of the Right Sector and was active in Ukrainian nationalist politics for decades. He also served as chairman of the Rivne cell of the Ukrainian National Assembly.
