Mohammed Odeh, a Palestinian Islamic militant and commander of Hamas in the Gaza Strip, died on May 26, 2026, in an airstrike.
He was 51 or 52. Born in 1974 in Jabalia refugee camp in the Gaza Strip, Odeh was identified in Wikipedia as a Hamas military leader in May 2026 and as the commander of the group’s forces in Gaza.
Additional context said he briefly led the Al-Qassam Brigades and served as Hamas leader in the Gaza Strip before his death in Rimal, Gaza City.
