
Mary Beth Hurt, an American actress of stage and screen, died on March 28, 2026, from complications of Alzheimer’s disease.
She was 79. Hurt was a three-time Tony Award nominee and also received a BAFTA Award nomination and an Independent Spirit Award nomination.
Her film credits included Interiors, The World According to Garp and The Age of Innocence. She also received an Obie Award and a Clarence Derwent Award.
