Alex Duong, an American comedian and television actor, died on March 28, 2026, in Santa Monica, California, of septic shock.
He was 42. Born in Dallas, Texas, Duong began his career as a stand-up comedian in the early 2000s, working as a doorman at The Comedy Store and performing at The Laugh Factory.
He started his screen career in 2006 and appeared in television series including Everybody Hates Chris, The Young and the Restless, 90210, Mad TV, Death Valley and Dexter. He was best known for his recurring role as Sonny Le on Blue Bloods, and also played Genghis Khan in The Cost of Living and appeared on Jeff Ross Presents Roast Battle in 2018.
