He wrote and directed the 1993 film Leprechaun, which launched the horror franchise of the same name. Jones also directed and co-wrote the horror film Rumpelstiltskin, wrote for television series including The A-Team and The Highwayman, and wrote and directed the films Triloquist in 2007 and Scorned in 2013.
