Jun Hong Lu, a Chinese-born Australian leader and founder of the Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door religious movement, died on November 10, 2021, in Sydney.
Born in Shanghai on August 4, 1959, he was also known to followers as Master Lu, and built a large religious following through the movement he established. Lu studied at the Shanghai Theatre Academy and later at the UNSW Business School after moving to Australia.
In addition to his role as a faith healer and religious leader, he was associated with Australia Oriental Radio and published works under his own name. His movement drew both support from Buddhist followers and criticism from some Buddhist organisations.
