José Carlos Gómez Villamandos, a Spanish veterinarian and politician who served as minister of universities of Andalusia from 2022, died on June 2, 2026.
He was 63. Born in Córdoba in 1963, Gómez Villamandos was rector of the University of Cordoba from 2014 to 2022.
He also worked as a university professor and was awarded the Gran Cruz del Mérito Militar con distintivo blanco.
