He was 92. Born John Josef Sedelmaier on May 31, 1933, he worked in television advertising and was known for FedEx’s “Fast Talking Man” ads and Wendy’s “Where’s the Beef?” campaign.
Sedelmaier, a former art director at Young & Rubicam and J. Walter Thompson, was recognized in the 1970s for directing television spots with unconventional casting and a less polished style.
