Jim Corrigall, a Canadian football player and coach, died on July 15, 2026, at age 80.
Born in Barrie on May 7, 1946, he went on to play his college football at Kent State University before beginning an 11-year professional career with the Toronto Argonauts in the Canadian Football League. A standout defensive end, Corrigall was named an all-star seven times and was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 1990.
He later returned to Kent State as head football coach, leading the program from 1994 to 1997 and finishing with an 8–35–1 record.
