Jan Adamski

Jan Adamski, a Polish chess player, died on May 21, 2026, at the age of 82.

Born in Warsaw on November 11, 1943, he won the Polish Chess Championship in 1982 and was awarded the International Master title in 1976. Adamski placed fourth in the World U-20 Championship in Vrnjačka Banja in 1963 and collected five silver medals and two bronze medals in the Polish Chess Championship.

He also won the Polish Rapid Chess Championship twice and was part of nine Polish Team Chess Championship victories.
