Judith Chalmers, the English television presenter best known for Wish You Were Here…?, died on May 22, 2026, aged 90.
Born Judith Rosemary Locke Chalmers in Gatley, Cheshire, on October 10, 1935, she began broadcasting for the BBC at 13 after being selected for BBC Northern Children’s Hour. Her career in television lasted from 1948 to 2017, and she presented the travel programme Wish You Were Here…?
from 1974 to 2003. She was awarded an OBE.
