Jackson Nascimento, the Brazilian football player and manager who played for Athletico Paranaense and Corinthians, died on September 9, 2026, aged 102.
A midfielder, he was revealed by Atlético Paranaense in 1943 and remained with the club until 1950, winning state championships in 1943, 1945 and 1949. He moved to Corinthians in 1950 and added another state title in 1952 before returning to Athletico, where he retired in 1956.
Across his two spells with the club, he scored 143 goals in 196 matches, leaving him second on its all-time scoring list. After ending his playing career, he returned in 1958 as Athletico’s coach and won the state championship again before later leaving football and training as a lawyer.
