A forward by trade, he was born in Dorkovo and built much of his career in Bulgarian football, including prolific spells with Chepinets Velingrad and Lokomotiv Septemvri. In the 2009–10 season, he finished as the South-West V AFG’s top scorer with 28 goals for Chepinets, then repeated the feat the following season with 32 goals for Lokomotiv Septemvri.
He later joined Lokomotiv Plovdiv in January 2012 and made his A PFG debut in an away win over Kaliakra Kavarna in March that year.
