Horst Schnoor German footballer dead at age 91

Horst Schnoor, the German football goalkeeper who played for Hamburger SV, died on February 25, 2026.

Born in Hamburg on April 11, 1934, he was Hamburger SV’s first-choice goalkeeper for much of the period from 1952 to 1967 and made 507 competitive appearances for the club. He won the German football championship with Hamburger SV in 1960 and the DFB-Pokal in 1963, and was credited with a club record of 139 matches without conceding a goal.
