Guy Liebmann, the American politician who served as mayor of Oklahoma City from 2003 to 2004, died on June 8, 2026.
He was 90. Born in Shawnee, Oklahoma, in 1936, Liebmann built a long career in local and state politics after attending Classen High School and graduating from the University of Oklahoma.
A Republican, he served on the Oklahoma City Council, represented the 82nd District in the Oklahoma House of Representatives from 2005 to 2013, and also served in the United States Marine Corps. His stint as acting mayor came during the transition before Mick Cornett won election to succeed Kirk Humphreys.
