Grizz Chapman, an American actor best known for his recurring role on NBC’s “30 Rock,” died on May 22, 2026.
He was 52. Born Grizzwald Chapman in Brooklyn, New York, on April 16, 1974, he was active in television from 2006 and portrayed Grizz on the series.
Chapman also appeared with fellow “30 Rock” actor Kevin Brown on an episode of HGTV’s “Hidden Potential” during its sixth season. In 2010, he received a kidney transplant after dealing with kidney disease and severe hypertension, and he later appeared on “The Dr. Oz Show” to raise awareness about hypertension and kidney disease.
