Israel Goodovitch, an Israeli architect and urban designer, died on May 22, 2026.
Born in Haifa in 1934, he studied architecture at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology and graduated from Tichon Hadash high school in Tel Aviv. Goodovitch created modernist designs and concepts and was better known in Israel for his brief tenure as City Engineer of Tel Aviv-Yafo.
In 1959, he received an award from the Israeli Histadrut Fund for Young Creators.
