Gordon Wallace, the Scottish football player and manager, died on March 12, 2026.
A forward, he began his career with Montrose in 1961 before playing for Raith Rovers, Dundee and Dundee United. A native of Dundee, he was named Scottish Football Writers’ Player of the Year for 1967–68 after scoring 30 goals that season, and he later held the Scottish league record for career goals with 264.
He also played two seasons in the North American Soccer League with the Seattle Sounders and went into coaching and management, including a spell with Raith Rovers. Wallace also worked in an advisory role with Dundee F.C.
