Gianmaria Testa, the Italian singer-songwriter and guitarist, died on March 30, 2016, aged 57.
Born in Cavallermaggiore, he began performing in 1990 and won two consecutive top prizes at the Recanati Festival in the early 1990s. His first album, “Montgolfières,” appeared in 1995 through a collaboration between Label Bleu and Harmonia Mundi.
Alongside his music career, he continued to work as a station master at the train station in Cuneo, and he sang in both Italian and French.
