Forbes Kennedy, the Canadian ice hockey player who played for the Philadelphia Flyers, Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins, died on May 25, 2026.
He was 90. Born in Dorchester, New Brunswick, Kennedy played 603 NHL games with five teams between 1956 and 1969, recording 70 goals, 108 assists and 888 penalty minutes.
He led the league in penalty minutes in the 1968-69 season. After his playing career, Kennedy went on to coach for several seasons. He was born Forbes Taylor Kennedy and was raised in Prince Edward Island.
