Elyakim Schlesinger, an Austrian-born British Orthodox rabbi and rosh yeshiva, died on February 4, 2026.

He was an international authority and served as president, chairman and head of the Rabbinical Board of the Committee for the Preservation of Jewish Cemeteries in Europe. Born in Vienna on November 23, 1921, he later lived in London, where he died at the age of 104.

He was a grandson of Moreinu Jacob Rosenheim, one of the founders of World Agudath Israel.
