Egon Loy, a German footballer who played as a goalkeeper for Eintracht Frankfurt, died on May 15, 2026, at the age of 95.
Born on May 14, 1931, he began his senior career with TSV 04 Schwabach near Nuremberg and later moved into the Bavarian amateur league. He won the Länderpokal of the amateurs three times from 1952 to 1954 and made his Oberliga Süd debut for Eintracht Frankfurt on August 22, 1954, in a 1–0 away win at Offenbach.
Loy made 28 league appearances for Eintracht in his first season.
