David Reginald Young, an American–British lawyer and academic, died on December 24, 2025, in Oxford, England, at the age of 89.
He served as a Special Assistant at the National Security Council in the Nixon administration and as an Administrative Assistant to Henry Kissinger. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, Young earned degrees from Wheaton College in Illinois and Queen’s College, Oxford, and received a Juris Doctor from Cornell University’s law school.
He worked at the New York law firm of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley and McCloy in 1965 and lived in the United Kingdom from the mid-1970s.
