David Brigati American singer dead at age 85

David Brigati, an American singer, died on March 7, 2026, at age 85.

Sometimes known as “the fifth Rascal,” he was born on October 29, 1940, in Passaic, New Jersey, and raised in Garfield, New Jersey. He began his musical career as the lead singer of the doo-wop group the Hi-Fives, who recorded for Decca Records in 1958.

One of the group’s songs, “Dorothy,” became a regional hit in the New York City and Philadelphia area. Brigati later performed with the Starliters and the Rascals, and his career spanned from 1958 to 2024.

David Brigati (October 29, 1940 – March 7, 2026) was an American singer. He was sometimes known as “the fifth Rascal”.
