Daniel Morse, an American Anglican prelate who served as bishop of the Central States, died on June 27, 2026.
Born on November 1, 1944, Morse became the first bishop ordinary of the Reformed Episcopal Church’s Diocese of the Central States, a role he held from 2008 to 2019. He also served as rector of Immanuel Church in Germantown, Tennessee, and took on additional responsibilities as a convocation dean, a standing committee member and dean of the external studies program at Cummins Theological Seminary.
In 1996, he was elected assistant bishop in the newly formed Diocese of Mid-America and was consecrated later that year in Memphis, Tennessee.
