Cletus Chandrasiri Perera, a Sri Lankan Roman Catholic prelate and bishop of Ratnapura, died on August 24, 2026, aged 78.

Born on September 6, 1947, he entered the Benedictine order in 1965, made his solemn profession in 1971 and was ordained a priest in 1973. Pope Benedict XVI appointed him bishop of Ratnapura in May 2007, and he received his episcopal consecration in Rome the following July from the Bishop of Kandy, Joseph Vianney Fernando, with Albert Malcolm Ranjith Patabendige Don and Harold Anthony Perera as co-consecrators.

He later served as emeritus bishop of Ratnapura.
