
Chuck Nieson, an American former Major League Baseball pitcher for the Minnesota Twins, died on April 7, 2026.
He was 83. Born Charles Bassett Nieson in Hanford, California, on September 24, 1942, he attended Fresno State University and threw and batted right-handed.
Nieson made his major league debut on September 18, 1964, at age 21 and played his final game the next day. Over two appearances, he pitched two innings, struck out five batters, walked one and allowed one hit, a home run to Frank Malzone of the Boston Red Sox.
