Bo Brown dead at age 81, member of the Missouri House of Representatives

Bo Brown, an American politician and member of the Missouri House of Representatives since 2020, died on June 8, 2026.

He was 81. Known also as William R.

Brown and William R. “Bo” Brown, he served in the legislature after being elected in November 2019 and taking office in January 2020. Brown earned degrees in political science from Tennessee State University and in public policy and administration from Jackson State University, and he also pursued postgraduate study at Santa Clara University. Before entering elective office, he worked as a teacher and coach in the Jackson Public School District from 1967 to 1971, later served as a community relations specialist at the U.S. Department of Justice, and then was a program manager at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development from 1972 to 1983.
