Aleksander Czuż, a Polish politician and civil servant, died on February 21, 2026.
Born on June 24, 1936, in Rogawka, Poland, he served as mayor of Białystok, as a councillor in the Podlaskie Voivodeship Sejmik from 1998 to 2001, and as a member of the Sejm in its 4th term after the 2001 parliamentary election. He was initially a member of the Polish United Workers’ Party during the communist period and later joined the Democratic Left Alliance.
He studied administration at the University of Warsaw.
