Zoraida Burgos i Matheu, a Spanish Catalan writer, poet and librarian, died on January 4, 2026, aged 92.
Born in Tortosa on March 10, 1933, she studied Library and Information Science at the University of Barcelona in the early 1950s and worked for most of her professional career as a librarian. Her first post was at Ulldecona Library in 1955 and 1956, and she later worked at Amposta Library from 1957 until her contract ended in 1965.
She also studied and worked as a graphologist and art restorer.
