Wang Luolin, a Chinese politician and academic administrator, died on June 26, 2026, at the age of 88.

Born in June 1938 in Wuchang, Hubei, he studied economics at Peking University, graduating in 1960. He went on to a long career at Xiamen University, where he served as lecturer, associate professor and professor from 1961, later becoming vice president in 1984.

Wang was appointed party secretary of the university in 1989 and held the post until 1994. He also served as an alternate member of the 13th, 14th and 16th Central Committees of the Chinese Communist Party, a member of the 15th Central Committee, and a delegate to the 9th and 10th National People’s Congress.
