Tulio Ramírez Padilla, Venezuelan Roman Catholic prelate and canonist who served as auxiliary bishop of Caracas from 2012 to 2020 and as bishop of Guarenas from 2020, died on August 12, 2026, aged 66.
Born in Caracas on February 28, 1960, he belonged to the clergy of the Archdiocese of Valencia in Venezuela, where he served in pastoral, teaching and administrative roles, including parish priest, professor at the major seminary, ecclesiastical tribunal judge, vicar general and moderator of the archdiocesan curia. He also held the titular see of Ausuccura before becoming auxiliary bishop of Caracas.
Ramírez Padilla died in Caracas after being hospitalized and receiving specialized medical care in early August; his death was announced by the Diocese of Guarenas.
