Widely known as King Oyo and formally Rukirabasaija Omukama Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, he became the 13th ruler of the 180-year-old Kingdom of Tooro in 1995, when he was just three years old. Born in Uganda on April 16, 1992, he was the son of Omukama Patrick David Matthew Kaboyo Rwamuhokya Olimi III and Queen Best Kemigisa.
His reign was marked by his place as one of the world’s youngest monarchs, although his authority remained largely cultural.
