
Rodger Brulotte, a Canadian Major League Baseball broadcaster and sportscaster for the Montreal Expos, died on March 20, 2026, at age 79.
Born in Montreal on Jan. 4, 1947, he began his career with the Montreal Expos organization in 1969, working in sales and marketing.
He helped contribute to the creation of the Youppi mascot. In 1984, he was hired by CKAC as a colour commentator alongside Jacques Doucet, and in 1990 he moved to RDS, where he called Expos games with Denis Casavant until the team’s demise in 2004. He later called Toronto Blue Jays games on TVA Sports alongside Doucet.
