Richard K. Davidson dead at age 84, CEO of Union Pacific

Richard K.

Davidson, the American railway executive who served as chief executive of Union Pacific, died on June 5, 2026, at age 84. Born on January 9, 1942, in Allen, Kansas, he entered the railroad industry while studying at Washburn University, where he graduated in 1966.

Davidson went on to build a long career with Union Pacific, becoming CEO in 1991 and remaining in that post until 2006.
