Paul Clancy, an Irish Gaelic football player and manager, died on June 22, 2026, at the age of 49.
Born in Moycullen, County Galway, on September 7, 1976, he was also noted as an electrician. Clancy played club football with Moycullen, progressing from juvenile and underage ranks to the senior side, and was part of the team that beat Fingal Ravens in February 2008 to secure the All-Ireland Club IFC title.
At inter-county level, he represented Galway as a minor and played in the 1994 All-Ireland MFC final against Kerry. He later won a Connacht U21FC medal with the county’s under-21 team in 1996.
