Otto Duecker Painting dead at age 77

Otto Duecker, an American painter and draughtsman, died on January 23, 2026, at age 77.

Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on April 16, 1948, he graduated from Oklahoma State University and became known for his Hyperrealist renderings of floating fruit, still lifes and later near-photographic oil paintings of contemporary and historical celebrities. He used traditional oil paint and a classical application to achieve his effects.

His work was exhibited in fine art galleries in the United States and abroad, and it is held in collections including the Philbrook Museum of Art, the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art and the Brandywine River Museum.

Otto Duecker (April 16, 1948 – January 23, 2026) was an American Hyperrealist painter and draughtsman.
