He was 85. Born on July 7, 1940, in Kharkiv, then in the Ukrainian SSR, he was also known as Nemesio Nemesyevich Pozuelo.
A Soviet-era forward, he was named a Master of Sports of the USSR in 1963. Позuelo was the son of Spanish refugees and was identified in an orphanage in Ivanovo, where he began playing football before going on to his professional career.
