Murray Beauclerk, 14th Duke of St Albans, a British aristocrat, died on April 22, 2026, aged 87.
Born on January 19, 1939, he was styled Earl of Burford from 1964 to 1988 before becoming duke. He was a member of the House of Lords from 1988 to 1999, and attended Tonbridge School in Kent before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1962.
The only child of his first wife and eldest son of Charles Beauclerk, 13th Duke of St Albans, he was the senior representative of the De Vere family and descended from King Charles II and Nell Gwyn through Charles Beauclerk, 1st Duke of St Albans.
