Michael Keating, an English actor known for Blake’s 7, EastEnders and Doctor Who, died on May 21, 2026, at the age of 79.
Born Michael Frank Keating in Edmonton, Middlesex, England, on 10 February 1947, he began his acting career in 1966. He was best known for playing Vila Restal in Blake’s 7 from 1978 to 1981 and Reverend George Stevens in EastEnders from 2005 to 2017.
He also appeared as Goudry in the 1977 Doctor Who story The Sun Makers.
